Privacy Policy
How Rise Abroad handles your data plainly stated.
What we collect
When you take the assessment we collect the answers you provide (age, profession, education, languages, priorities, and family status). If you create an account we also collect your email address. We do not collect payment information, real names, or any government ID.
How we use it
Your assessment answers are used solely to compute your country matches. We do not sell your data to third parties. If you opt in to our newsletter, your email is stored with our mailing provider and used only to send the monthly digest you signed up for.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser localStorage to save your assessment draft and token so you can resume where you left off. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Anonymous analytics
We run our own first-party analytics to see which pages are useful and where people drop off in the assessment. These events are anonymous, identified only by a random id stored in your browser, and are never shared with third parties. We never store your IP address: your approximate country is derived from it on our server, only the two-letter country code is kept, and the IP is immediately discarded. We honour your browser's "Do Not Track" setting and retain analytics events for at most 12 months.
Data retention
Assessment results are stored for 90 days and then permanently deleted unless you create an account, in which case they are stored until you delete your account. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
